Artists and Crafters in the Michigan area can sell the wares they make through this online mall simply and easily!

Here is how it works!

Services that Michigan Homespun offers to Sellers:
Michigan Homespun handles the advertising of the site along with marketing strategies.
All transactions are handled through Michigan Homespun and Pay Pal PayPal.com. The design and maintenance of the website, and blog area on the site are handled by webmaster@mihomespun.com
Professional photography done by a commercial photographer is available at stage4det@yahoo.com

Blog Area:
There is a Blog area on the homepage where you can log in to that is free to everyone. This message board will be helpful for sellers, customers, and visitors to discuss their ideas on art and craft subjects. There is also a calendar with upcoming events on the blog site listing upcoming Art and Craft Shows in the Michigan area. If anyone knows of an Art or Craft show that is not listed on the calendar please forward the information to us and we will post it on our calendar. We are hoping the blog area will help to create a social circle of support between Artists, Crafters and the people who love Arts and Crafts.

Login by choosing your username and password then confirm your email address. Your username will be used for your login name on this site, membership ID and the name of your shop when you become a seller. Sellers will be contacted through their email account so be sure to have your email address updated if it has changed.

What Sellers need to do:
Create items they want to sell, price their items, take and upload a photo of each item they are selling along with a description for each listing including quantity and price. After receiving payment from the customer through Michigan Homespun, Sellers are responsible for packaging and shipping the order to the customer within seven days of when the order was placed, unless it is a custom order then the customer will be notified on the date the order is expected to be shipped out. Customers are responsible for any shipping charges.

Shipping services that meet Michigan Homespun and PayPal's requirments are:

 There is also an option for walk in (pick up) available for sellers who would like to use this option. The arrangement for walk-in, pick up service would have to be made between the buyer and seller as to when and where the customer will be able to pick up items. Seller would be notified that a buyer is requesting a pick up for their purchase.  Sellers should let us know if they want that service available for the buyer.

Invoices on orders will be sent to the buyer and the seller. After the payment is received from the customer seller then sends out the order. When orders are received by the customer payments to the seller are then sent to the Sellers Pay Pal account. Payments to Seller will include: Price for items sold, shipping charges (minus 10% of total , not including shipping charge, for transaction fee to Michigan Homespun LCC).  Any Sales Tax collected will be held and reported by Michigan Homespun. PayPay charges a small percentage of the total order including from the shipping charge. You can find out what the percentage is by going to PayPal's website.

Basic computer knowledge; know how to use email and upload photos.

Photos to be placed on this mihomespun.com website will be up for review before being posted on the site. If for any reason the photo is not acceptable to be placed on the site the Seller will be notified with an email explaining why the photo was not accepted. Photos must be in good standards and able to be viewed by all age groups. Photos must be clear and taken with full view of the item. Sellers have the option of using our professional commercial photographer stage4det@yahoo.com who will take photos of their items for an additional fee. This photographer has exceptional talent and can pull up all facets in a piece of jewelry. Please email us if you are interested in seeing a sample photo of his jewelry.  Michigan Homespun LLC., has the right to refuse to list any item that is not in good taste. 

Transactions:
Michigan Homespun also handles all transactions between the Buyers and Sellers. A shopping cart will be provided to our sellers. We handle the Merchants Services account provided through Pay Pal, which accepts all major credit cards. Sellers must have a PayPal Business account. Payments to Sellers will go to their Pay Pal account. Buyers will not need a PayPal account in order to buy on this site. Buyers are responsible to pay the full price of the item along with shipping fee and any sales tax required for their order. PayPal has a return policy that our Sellers must agree with.

Michigan Homespun's Transaction Fee:
A 10% transaction fee will be charged and taken off of the total for each order. Basically Michigan Homespun makes money when the Seller makes money.

PayPal's Transaction Fee:
A  small percentage of the order's total including the shipping charge will be collected by PayPal. Sellers should visit PayPals website to find out how much the percentage is.

Sellers Membership Fee:
There is a $25.00 annual membership fee collected by Michigan Homespun. This will give Sellers their own Shop, Unlimited Listings that include photos descriptions and price.

How to become a Seller on this site:
Login with username, password and email address and confirm email address. A Signup form will be emailed to you. Sellers will have to fill out a Seller Signup Form and agree to Michigan Homespun’s terms and conditions to sell their wares on MiHomespun’s online mall.
